    Lemon-Basil Chicken Pasta

    A creamy pasta dish is probably the closest thing I have to a go to meal. I have probably have 10+ recipes for them already, but for the summer I was looking for a new version (my last summery one is linked here). We have started a new herb garden since we moved into our new house and its starting to yield some usable herbs. If you have ever grown basil you know it grows super fast, so it was time to use some.     Zakarian’s Yogurt and Herb Pasta

    So, this may be the first time I got a real inspiration from watching the Kitchen on the Food Network. The best part of the show though is definitely Geoffrey Zakarian (just gonna call him GZ going forward). When he makes something on the show, its more often than involves proper technique and flavor pairings. This one actually caught my eye and made me go oooh! I would describe it as basically a Tzaziki Pasta, which just sounded awesome. What’s really great is that the only thing that you need to cook is the pasta.     Provencal Crusted Rack of Lamb

    When I asked Rob what he wanted for his birthday dinner, he immediately gravitated toward some kind of red meat. We were watching Ina Garten on TV that morning and saw her make a rack of lamb. Rob almost immediately said “let’s do that.” So off to the butcher we went to get the meat. Rob almost called an audible and went with some boar chops, but in the end we stuck with lamb.
